Skitterish, "Haunted" carefully unfurls over whirring machinery that moves over a broken frame as warm, ghastly vocals caress us, shrouding us in its alluring embrace. Now, deep in the dream, Severin Su & Julian Koerndl summon a swaying low-end pulse that drives us across oniric swells before a crystalline lead invites us to soar higher into the night. Grippingly emotional, "Haunted" treads between light and darkness with an extreme sense of finesse, exposing a cinematic breakdown for the ages at its core as we give into that memory that will linger with us forever.
Showcasing a different side to their artistic vision, on Severin Su & Julian Koerndl's "Calling For You", the pair lean on to a bolder sound as they paint a cavernous space where thumping kick following gleaming lights until an eerie female vocal takes hold of the piece. With the spell in place, "Calling For You" ups the ante with thunderous stabs that rise over razor-sharp hi-hats and unstable gated acidic sequences.
