Adana Twins & Upercent link up for 'Darkness'

Adana Twins, the visionary duo behind the TAU label, continue to push boundaries with their latest release, “Darkness”. Teaming up with fellow TAU artist Upercent, known for his avant-garde and experimental soundscapes, the trio crafts a haunting new single that delves deep into the shadowy side of house and techno.

“Darkness” showcases the Adana Twins' trademark blend of emotionally charged soundscapes, anchored by broken beats, silky synth loops, and a raw, menacing bassline. The smoky, soulful vocal whispers layered throughout the track evoke an atmospheric tension that builds towards a climactic peak.

Upercent, recognized for his experimental work on labels like Innervisions and Kompakt, adds a distinct touch to the track, which perfectly aligns with TAU's commitment to genre-bending, forward-thinking sounds.

Adding a new dimension to the release is Berlin-based producer Aera, founder of Applied Magic. His remix of “Darkness” takes a minimalist approach, stripping back the track to its essentials with a rumbling bassline and eerie synths. Aera's version amplifies the track’s unsettling energy, offering a deeper, more twisted interpretation of the original.
