ALPHATHETA INTRODUCES NEW ROTARY MIXER, EUPHONIA

AlphaTheta, the sister brand of Pioneer DJ, has made waves in the industry with the announcement of its groundbreaking flagship rotary mixer, the euphonia.

Priced at €3,799, the euphonia marks a departure from AlphaTheta's traditional club-standard mixers, offering a unique blend of cutting-edge features and high-end sound quality. At the heart of this innovation lies a transformative partnership with Rupert Neve Designs (RND), integrating a specially crafted RND transformer circuit at the mixer's output stage. Renowned for his legendary contributions to audio engineering, Rupert Neve's signature touch adds subtle harmonics across the full frequency spectrum, elevating the euphonia's sonic performance to rival high-end boutique rotaries.

Setting itself apart from its counterparts, the euphonia combines both analog and digital elements, boasting a 32-bit ADA converter to power its digital FX section. This comprehensive suite includes essential effects such as high-pass filter, delay, tape echo, echo verb, reverb, and shimmer, offering users a versatile range of creative possibilities. Notably, the mixer also features a send-return option, enabling seamless integration with external send effects for enhanced flexibility.

A standout feature of the euphonia is its innovative Send Boost function, facilitating multi-band send FX capabilities. By assigning individual FX to specific frequency bands, users can finely sculpt their sound with precision and finesse, opening up a world of sonic exploration and experimentation.

Each channel on the euphonia is equipped with a standard three-band EQ and sends for effects, ensuring intuitive control and seamless integration into any setup. While the mixer foregoes a dedicated filter per channel to maintain pristine analog integrity, its unique VU meters offer a novel "energy visualizer" that amalgamates the output of all four channels into a single readout, complemented by four individual needles for precise monitoring.

Available now, the euphonia seeks to redefine the landscape of rotary mixers, setting a new standard for discerning DJs and audio enthusiasts alike. For more information, visit the AlphaTheta website.
