Atelier find the 'Lights Towards The Exit' on new LP

In a departure from their previous seaside-inspired sounds, Atelier is back with their second full-length album, Lights Towards The Exit, which dives deep into the restless energy of urban life. Featuring 10 new original cuts, Atelier’s sophomore record is already available to stream and purchase digitally and on vinyl across all major digital outlets via Lossless.

Following the release of Varsam Court in late 2019 on the Lossless label, guided by their mentors Mathias Schober and Thomas Herb, the duo ventured into new sonic territories. Early 2020 saw the emergence of a unifying theme across several tracks, laying the groundwork for their sophomore album.

Lights Towards The Exit was crafted in various Berlin locations, each contributing a unique atmosphere. From bedrooms with bustling street views on the 4th and 5th floors, to a windowless studio in an old backyard complex threatened by gentrification, to a larger studio overlooking a mechanic's workshop, each setting left its mark. The final touches were made in Atelier’s current studio, surrounded by office buildings, plazas, and the steady hum of 9-to-5 life, but most importantly, amidst the presence of friends and collaborators.
