French-American doctorate scientist, DJ, and producer Elegie is back on the dancefloors with the drop of her latest free download as she takes on Les Irrepressibles’ “In This Shirt”.

A highly narcotic reconstruction, Elegie’s reconstruction of “In This Shirt” treads dark melodic techno lines with finesse, designed for the late night hours.

““In this Shirt” has been one of my favorite songs for a long time. The lyrics are about heartache and loss, so they resonated deeply with my heartbreak and grief after losing my beloved English bulldog Edgy, who suddenly passed away two years ago - I created this remix in her memory. I used selected vocals and parts of the original melody to create my own story, applying a techno perspective to make it an Elegie track. After a long intro to build up tension, I progressively introduced the vocals with two arp-supported breaks, and added an epic melody. For the last drop, I came back with a powerful groovy bassline and all main elements of the track for the grand finale!” said Elegie exclusively to Type < / 01 Magazine.
