Listen to OLAN’s sophomore studio album, ‘Floating Worlds’

Luzana Flores, the indie electronic artist and DJ, best known as OLAN, has released her highly anticipated second album, Floating Worlds, through QRTR’s .WAVCAVE label.

Floating Worlds is a deeply personal project that showcases OLAN's unique blend of melodic house, breakbeat, downtempo, and UK garage. The album features standout singles like "Faster Than Sound," "If You Need Me," and "Warm To The Touch," each track reflecting her growth as both an artist and individual. Inspired by her tour with ODESZA and the concept of “liminal space” from the novel House of Leaves, the album explores themes of existential crisis and finding solace in life’s simple pleasures.

“This album as a whole has been a way for me to confront any grief or disappointment I experienced in the last four years,” OLAN explained. Floating Worlds literally refers to how unreliable and flaky our existence can be. As the album took shape, I started to realize I wasn’t alone in what I was feeling. That didn’t justify anything, but not feeling alone meant there’s a way to cope.”

OLAN’s music journey began in church and evolved into a unique fusion of DJ sets with R&B and garage influences after she moved to Las Vegas at 21. Her work includes collaborations with major names like Janelle Monáe and Dreamville, leading to her debut album Contra on Anjunadeep and performances at top venues and festivals, such as Electric Forest, Ultra, and Red Rocks. Her collaboration with QRTR on the Control EP further solidified her status, earning her a spot on ODESZA’s The Last Goodbye stadium tour.
