NINJA TUNE'S CEO ADRIAN KEMP STEPS BACK

Prominent UK label Ninja Tune has initiated an internal investigation into allegations made against its CEO, Adrian Kemp.

The label confirmed in a statement to staff, obtained by Resident Advisor, that Kemp will temporarily step back from his role while the investigation is conducted by an independent third-party HR firm. The nature of the allegations has not been disclosed.

During Kemp's absence, Samantha Sissons, the head of marketing, and Tess Kendall, the head of marketing operations, will assume leadership roles within the company.

The statement emphasized that the investigation's outcome will be shared upon its completion, pending any legal constraints. It also noted that Kemp will continue to offer support to Sissons and Kendall but will maintain a lower profile during this period.

Ninja Tune, established in London in 1990, holds a prominent position in the independent music scene, particularly within the realm of electronic and dance music. Kemp, who has been associated with the label for over 20 years, assumed the CEO position in 2017, according to records from Companies House.
