REINIER ZONNEVELD TO GO B2B WITH AI REPLICA FOR R² FESTIVAL
Dutch artist Reinier Zonneveld is set to push the boundaries of creativity at the upcoming R² festival in the Netherlands by performing a unique back-to-back set with an AI version of himself.
This groundbreaking performance will see Zonneveld collaborate live on stage with an AI model trained on over 2000 hours of his original music and recordings from more than 1000 live shows. The AI dynamically responds to Zonneveld's input, co-creating music in real-time, akin to a traditional b2b set between two human artists.
Scheduled for the main stage of the inaugural R² festival, set to take place at Spaarnwoude Park on August 17th, the event promises an immersive experience across eight stages. Highlights include a stage dedicated to the illegal rave movement and an audio-visual spectacle curated by Speedy J. Zonneveld's Filth on Acid label will also host a curated stage.
Zonneveld sees AI as a tool to elevate creative output, enabling the exploration of new possibilities beyond human imagination. He believes that harnessing AI in music production can lead to more ambitious and innovative results.
Reinier is no stranger to pushing boundaries. Last year, he set a Guinness World Record for the longest solo electronic music live set, performing for an impressive 11 hours and 11 minutes.
