Splice adds custom sample uploads to AI-powered Create engine

Splice has introduced a significant update to its AI-powered Create engine, allowing users to upload their own samples for a more personalized music creation experience.

The Create engine, known for its advanced machine-learning capabilities, scans Splice’s extensive catalog of millions of sounds to find loops that match the tone, timbre, and vibe of the user's existing loops. This feature enables users to quickly swap out loops, mute, solo, and adjust volume, facilitating rapid idea development without the need to sift through countless samples. Once satisfied with their Stack, users can export it to their DAW or download the individual samples. Splice ensures that each sample remains in time and key by automatically pitch-shifting and adjusting the BPM.

The new update, currently in beta, enhances this functionality by allowing users to upload their own samples. This means that users can now integrate their custom sounds with the Splice library, enabling the Create engine to generate complementary loops based on the user’s unique ideas. This seamless integration offers a dynamic and efficient way to expand on initial concepts and discover new creative possibilities.

The custom sample upload feature is live now, and while still in beta, it promises to deliver innovative results. For more information, visit the Splice website or watch the introductory video below.
