Dubfire Revisits 'I Feel Speed' with 2025 Remixes
A staple of Dubfire’s early solo work, “I Feel Speed” has returned with a fresh perspective. Originally released in 2007 as one of the earliest—and most personal—offerings on his SCI+TEC label, the track, a cover of Love and Rockets’ 1989 classic, stood out not only for its sleek minimalism but also for featuring Dubfire’s own vocals. Now, I Feel Speed (2025 Remixes) breathes new life into the original with a carefully curated selection of reworks.
Leading the charge is Stephan Bodzin, whose signature melodic intensity amplifies the track’s emotional core. Yulia Niko delivers a hypnotic take, while SNYL—who played a key role in inspiring the project—offers a respectful yet modern reinterpretation. Rafael Cerato and Laherte join forces for a pulsating, club-ready remix, and Erol Alkan rounds out the collection with a genre-defying rework that bends expectations.
“Throughout my career, I’ve made no secret of my love—bordering on worship—for Love and Rockets (and, of course, Bauhaus),” Dubfire shared. “Tackling their soft ballad “I Feel Speed” in 2007 was a daunting but transformative experience. Over the years, fans and colleagues have kept their love for that cover alive, which makes this new remix package even more meaningful.”
