Jan Blomqvist unveils new studio album, ‘MUTE’
Berlin-based live act and producer Jan Blomqvist has shared the drop of his third studio album, MUTE, via his label Disconnected in collaboration with Armada Music. The release arrives alongside his global tour, with sold-out shows across Europe and North America.
Written between Berlin and the road, MUTE expands on the themes of his previous LP, Disconnected, offering a contemplative refuge from the chaos of modern life. The 12-track album follows a journey from darkness to light, emphasizing the power of inner reflection in an era of constant noise.
“We’re living in a world where listening has become a lost art,” says Blomqvist. “MUTE is about finding your inner voice amidst all the madness and noise.”
Blomqvist’s signature blend of melancholic vocals and atmospheric beats shines through on standout tracks like “Underwater”, “Destination Lost”, “Muted Mind”, and “Midnight Sun”. Collaborations with Rodriguez Jr., Beobȇ, Natasha Polke, Bondi, and lyricist Maybemahri further enhance the album’s introspective yet dance-driven character.
Fresh off his performance at Burning Man, Blomqvist has taken MUTE on the road, debuting an innovative new stage design created alongside Christian Dammann. His live tour continues through March, with stops at key venues worldwide.
MUTE is available now on all streaming platforms.
