Mochakk makes Ninja Tune debut with new EP

Brazilian DJ and producer Mochakk has officially landed on the iconic Ninja Tune imprint with his latest EP, From The Stars. The two-track release marks a significant milestone in his career, blending nostalgia-infused sampling with contemporary club energy.

The title track, ”From The Stars”, reworks The Rah Band’s 1983 single “Messages From The Stars”, effortlessly transitioning from laid-back atmospheres to peak-time propulsion. The EP’s second cut, “Maria”, takes a different route, delivering a pulsating, groove-driven ride that further showcases Mochakk’s sonic versatility.

"It's completely bananas to release on Ninja. It's one of those stamp-of-approval moments," says the Brazilian artist, real name Pedro Maia. "It's such a respected label for years where so many great albums and singles were released from artists I've listened to for years. It feels unreal. I really enjoyed that they chose two very different tracks for this EP."

With his fusion of classic inspirations and forward-thinking production, Mochakk’s debut on Ninja Tune underscores his growing influence in the global electronic music scene.
