Konstantin Sibold - Lost In Space - Drumcode

German producer Konstantin Sibold has shared his latest EP, Lost In Space, a three-track voyage on Drumcode that blends big-room techno with introspective, experimental elements. The EP draws from an unexpected inspiration: Sibold’s eight years of study in aerospace engineering, a pursuit that profoundly shaped his approach to music production.

The EP’s title track, “Lost In Space”, sees Sibold collaborate with Brazilian artist KAF3R to deliver a dynamic, melodic piece with a robotic vocal refrain. This layered track builds toward a synth-heavy breakdown, showcasing KAF3R's influence and adding an emotional depth that balances intensity with moments of calm.

The second track, “The Arrival”, is a hypnotic cut with gated vocals and a rolling bassline that gives it a catchy, anthemic feel. The EP closes with “Dark Matter”, a deep, haunting track that plays with contrasts between light and shadow, enhanced by eerie, fragmented vocals.

Sibold’s aerospace studies played a critical role in his music journey, both technically and creatively. "Studying Aerospace Engineering shaped my way of thinking and augmented my production toolkit," Sibold explains. Though he never completed the diploma, the experience allowed him to balance academics with his passion for DJing and production, shaping a unique approach to his sound.

"University time helped me develop and find my own sound," he adds, "but I was always drawn to DJing, producing, and nightlife.” With Lost In Space, Sibold brings together these two worlds, crafting an EP that’s as technically sharp as it is imaginative.
