Reborn Project, Armen Miran’s latest brainchild, unveils its eighth outing since its conception with a four-track remix of Nhar’s collaboration with Nikki Lore, “Céleste”. Featuring reinterpretations by Monarke, Enamour, Gai Barone, and Rigopolar, we zero in and highlight the Mexican producer’s seductive delivery.

Off in a flash, Rigopolar deploys an impenetrable groove where sharp stabs are allowed to run amok before thrusting “Céleste” through a hypnotic neon chord that swells in a mesmerizing manner. With the foundations in place, and deep within “Céleste”, Manuel Castaneda unleashes Nikki Lore’s tantalizing vocal take as it lights up the cavernous landscape, harnessing the energy and recycling it for an unstoppable third act where synthetic razorblades dice the piece with extreme ease before gearing down and asking to be played just one more time (again and again).

Somewhere between indie dance and the darker shades of progressive that brands such as SAW and Hooj Choons once championed, Rigopolar’s sensually deep, yet thunderous take on Nhar & Nikki Lore’s “Céleste” is attractively incisive and then some.
