Jon Hopkins announces new LP, shares first single

Jon Hopkins, the mastermind behind sonic landscapes that blur the lines between electronic and ambient, is gearing up to drop his latest album, RITUAL, on August 30th. Clocking in at 41 minutes, this ceremonial piece promises to be a vibrant departure from his previous work, offering a kinetic counterpart to the introspective tones of Music For Psychedelic Therapy.

The album's first single, "RITUAL (evocation)," is already making waves, serving as a tantalizing taste of what's to come. Accompanying the track is a visually stunning music video starring Bryony Louise and directed by Dave Bullivant, perfectly capturing the emotive essence of Hopkins' sound.

“The video, starring Bryony Louise, and directed by Dave Bullivant, might be my favourite music video I’ve ever had made. A note-perfect translation of the emotion of the music into physical movement” said Hopkins about the video on social media.

Hopkins is shaking up the traditional album release model by offering fans a chance to experience RITUAL in a whole new way. On May 12th, lucky listeners in London can immerse themselves in a special spatial audio presentation of the album at the ICA. It's a chance to feel the music in a way that goes beyond the ordinary, all before the album officially hits the shelves.

Tickets for this unique listening experience go on sale this Friday, May 3rd, promising an early peek into Hopkins' latest sonic adventure.
