​Sony introduces new Techno label, noted. records

Sony Music Entertainment Germany has made a bold move into the Techno scene with the launch of their new sub-label, noted. records. This announcement, made on Friday, April 26th, signals the music giant's dedication to the global electronic music community, with a particular focus on Techno culture and emerging artists.

Heading up noted. records is Jean-Sebastien Permal, Sony Music's Vice President of A&R for Europe & Africa. Permal expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the need to provide a platform for artists with distinctive musical and visual identities in today's potent electronic music landscape.

“Electronic music as a genre has never been as potent as it is today,” says Sony Music’s Jean-Sebastien Permal. “We recognized the need to provide a home for artists with a strong and unique musical and visual identity.”

The inaugural release on noted. records comes from Anfisa Letyago, a rising star in the techno world and former Mixmag cover star. Her debut track, "Feelin'", showcases the label's commitment to forward-thinking Techno sounds. Letyago's track blends a commanding groove with dark undertones, creating a captivating and trance-inducing atmosphere.

Speaking about her debut track, Letyago expressed her excitement at being part of noted. records and described "Feelin'" as a special moment in her career. With this release, she sets the tone for what's to come from the label, hinting at a forthcoming record that holds great promise.

“Feelin'“ marks my debut track with Sony, making it truly special,” she says. “I feel the groove of “Feelin'“ commands the dancefloor, while its beat carries a hint of darkness, creating a trance-like embrace.”

Sony Music's move into the Techno realm with noted. records reflects the growing significance of electronic music in the industry.
