Listen to BICEP's new CHROMA single

BICEP have released a brand new single titled “CHROMA 004 ROLA” as part of their ongoing CHROMA project. This stripped-back track represents a stark departure from their live show productions, offering a darker and heavier sound that is specifically crafted for the dancefloor.

The track, which was first teased as the opening number during their 2023 DRUMSHEDS takeover in front of 15,000-strong crowds, has now been officially debuted by Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s New Music Daily Radio.

Explaining the inspiration behind “CHROMA 004 ROLA”, BICEP stated, “We wanted something dark and heavy to play as our first tune, as a stark departure from the live show. It's exactly what we're wanting to achieve with CHROMA, a track written for the dancefloor with a specific idea in mind.” They emphasized that CHROMA allows them to explore music outside the traditional album cycle, focusing purely on DJ-centric tracks.

The CHROMA project is not just about music; it encompasses specially curated events, a record label, a constantly evolving live A/V show, and a unique visual identity created by artist and graphic designer David Rudnick. BICEP added, “It feels really refreshing for us to write music and play it out that same week. It's been really fun for us to let people hear a bit of a tougher sound from us.”

The release of “CHROMA 004 ROLA” precedes BICEP’s headline show at Glastonbury’s IICON stage on Thursday, June 27th, where they will perform a live A/V DJ set. Additionally, they will be performing under their new alias, DOVE, on the Levels stage.
