Pig&Dan return to Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD with Aitor Ronda

Pig&Dan return to Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD label with their latest EP, Fantasia, a collaboration with Aitor Ronda. Scheduled for release this Friday 26th, the EP also includes a remix by LA techno legend Truncate, adding to its allure.

The title track, “Fantasia”, features Pig&Dan and Aitor Ronda's signature style with raw, filtered synth lines, psychedelic arpeggios, and reverb-heavy vocal chops. It delivers a mind-bending warehouse experience, with an extended breakdown that builds suspense before dropping into a melodic techno frenzy.

Another track on the EP, “Do You Want To Go Faster”, features Francesco El Catolico, who previously collaborated with Pig&Dan on their 2022 Twenty Years album on their Elevate imprint. The track uses a repeating vocal over racing 303 sequences, inviting listeners on a stomping, otherworldly acid trip.

Truncate, a prominent figure in the LA techno scene and a label owner and producer, remixes “Do You Want To Go Faster”. He infuses the track with his signature loopy techno-tool flair, replacing the hypnotic synths and vocals with a deeply infectious groove, enhanced by additional alarm sequences and hard-hitting percussion.

Pig&Dan, who have been mainstays of Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD label since their debut in 2017, collaborate once more with long-time partner Aitor Ronda for the Fantasia EP. This is their second full-fledged EP collaboration with Ronda, following the Nautilus EP on WHACK. Ronda is also known for his releases on renowned labels such as Monika Kruse’s Terminal M and Reinier Zonneveld’s Filth On Acid.

Pig&Dan’s last contribution to MOOD, the Mozza EP with Yulia Niko, received support from artists like Danny Tenaglia, Riva Starr, Hannah Wants, and Honey Dijon. This latest installment on the label promises to ignite dance floors once again with its tripped-out techno offerings.
