Burial Scores Harmony Korine’s Incoming 'Baby Invasion' Movie

Burial, the renowned electronic music producer, has composed the score for Harmony Korine’s upcoming film, Baby Invasion, which is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival this summer. This marks another venture into film scoring for Burial, who also composed the score for Andrea Arnold’s Bird, starring Barry Keoghan, which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Baby Invasion is described as a surreal home invasion thriller and is produced by Korine's EDGLRD company. The film is uniquely shot as a first-person shooter and utilizes AI technology to swap the intruders' faces with those of babies.

The official description reads: "Baby Invasion is a new ultra-realistic, multiplayer FPS game following a group of mercenaries using baby faces as avatars to conceal their identity. Tasked with entering mansions of the rich and powerful and leaving nothing behind, players must explore every rabbit hole before time runs out."

Earlier this year, Burial released the double single "Dreamfear / Boy Sent from Above" and collaborated with Kode9 for the split single "Phoneglow / Eyes Go Blank".

Harmony Korine's previous film, Aggro Dr1ft, premiered at Venice last September but has not yet been formally released in theaters.
