Propellerhead introduces Reason 13
Propellerhead has unveiled Reason 13, the latest iteration of its renowned music-making software. This update introduces significant enhancements to the software's sequencer, promising a faster workflow and smoother navigation. Users can expect a redesigned Edit Area, improved zooming capabilities, and various other tweaks aimed at streamlining the Reason experience.
One of the standout features of Reason 13 is the revamped Browser, which consolidates all patches, samples, and loops into a single, easily accessible location. With enhanced categorization and tagging, users can quickly find the sounds they need and explore an extensive library spanning over two decades of sound design. Additionally, over 1,000 new samples, patches, and loops have been included to inspire creativity.
Mattias Häggström Gerdt, Product Manager at Reason Studios, expressed excitement about the release, emphasizing the goal of improving Reason's unique music-making workflow. He highlighted the numerous features added to Reason 13, all aimed at accelerating the creative process and helping users achieve their desired sound more efficiently.
Of course, no Reason update would be complete without new Racks, the cornerstone of the Reason ecosystem. Reason 13 introduces five new additions, including the Polytone Dual-Layer Synthesizer, Ripley Space Delay, and three tools for sidechaining, stereo widening, and gain staging and panning.
Originally released over two decades ago, Reason has remained a staple among electronic music producers, thanks to its flexible routing, sequencing, and sound design capabilities. With Reason 13, Propellerhead continues to innovate and revamp its flagship software, catering to the evolving needs of music creators.
Propellerhead is currently seeking beta testers for the new update, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to explore Reason 13's features before its official release. Interested individuals can sign up and learn more about Reason 13 on the Propellerhead website.
