Bicep share new single under DOVE alias

Bicep, the electronic duo comprised of Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar, are delving into new territory with their latest project, CHROMA. As part of this expansive endeavor, they have introduced a fresh alias, DOVE, and unveiled their inaugural track “Bi83”.

Premiering at the illustrious Coachella festival, “Bi83” represents a departure from Bicep's signature sound, offering a more introspective and experimental approach. The track begins with a celestial introduction, gradually evolving into a mesmerizing blend of ethereal textures and pulsating acid-inspired synths.

According to Bicep, DOVE serves as a creative outlet for exploring singular ideas and experimental concepts in the studio, with a focus on human voices and acid-driven soundscapes.

DOVE will hopefully be a place where we can put more singular ideas down, less focused on complete songs and more on experimental concepts we work on in the studio,” they explain. “For example, this first release was about restricting ourselves to human voices and acid to make the majority of sounds.”

In tandem with the release of “Bi83”, Bicep has unveiled CHROMAVISION, a captivating 30-minute short film that offers a visual companion to their CHROMA project. Produced in collaboration with Zak Norman, David Rudnick, and Brain Dead, CHROMAVISION immerses viewers in a surreal and immersive audio-visual experience, complemented by an exclusive CHROMA soundtrack.
