Secret Echoes announces debut LP on Crosstown Rebels

Mexican electronic music supergroup Secret Echoes is set to make its official debut on Damian Lazarus’ renowned Crosstown Rebels with the drop of their incoming single, “Bring My Beat Back”. The new drop is scheduled for release on September, 13th.

Secret Echoes is a collaboration between three well-established artists in Mexico’s electronic music landscape. Estefani Brolo, known for her work with BROLORZIO and I.M YONI, contributes vocals and lyrical content. Diego Cevallos, who performs as Métrika, and Marco Anaya, recognized as Balcazar (of Balcazar & Sordo), bring their production expertise to the group. Together, they blend their distinct musical backgrounds into a cohesive and innovative sound that builds on house music foundations while incorporating melodic and emotive elements.

The formation of Secret Echoes began during the pandemic when Cevallos and Anaya started working on an album they had envisioned for some time. The duo rented a studio in Jiutepec, Mexico, equipped with analogue tape machines and high-end studio gear, providing an ideal environment for creative exploration. As the project developed, Brolo joined, adding her melodic and lyrical skills to the mix. The trio recorded 11 tracks, but these were temporarily shelved until the group decided the time was right to release them.

The turning point came in 2024, when Secret Echoes performed live at the Day Zero festival. Their performance of “Bring My Beat Back” caught the attention of Damian Lazarus, founder of Crosstown Rebels, who recognized the track’s potential. Impressed by the group’s sound, Lazarus signed the entire album, with the single serving as the first introduction to their work.

“Bring My Beat Back” showcases the group’s ability to balance classic house music elements with contemporary production techniques. The track features Brolo’s captivating vocals layered over synths and refined percussion, creating a polished yet emotionally resonant sound. The single release also includes a remix by Zombies In Miami, known for their work on the Creatures Of The Night label and their association with Permanent Vacation. Their remix emphasizes neon-lit synths and late-night atmospheres, offering an alternative interpretation of the original track.
