2ManyDJs soundtrack new Netflix film starring Vincent Cassel
Belgian duo 2ManyDJs have composed the original soundtrack for Banger, a new Netflix feature film released globally on April 2nd. The project marks a return to scoring work for the genre-hopping duo, known for their trailblazing mashups and influential role in shaping the sound of 2000s electroclash.
Banger is directed by Bertrand de Langeron—better known as So Me—who has long been affiliated with Ed Banger Records, having directed visuals for artists like Justice and DJ Mehdi. The film stars Vincent Cassel as DJ Scorpex, a disgraced former celebrity DJ given one final shot at redemption after being enlisted by police to infiltrate a criminal organization. French YouTube personality Mister V appears as Scorpex’s rival, DJ Vestax, while Kavinsky and Justice also make brief appearances.
2ManyDJs, the alter ego of Soulwax brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, were brought on to score the film’s soundtrack in full. Their original compositions for Banger include the tracks “Dans de Lab” and “Dans de Club”, which serve as thematic pillars throughout the film. The score moves between club-ready energy and satirical tension, mirroring the movie’s mix of dark comedy and high-stakes narrative.
The film also features a cast of French talent including Alexis Manenti, Déborah Lukumuena, Nina Zem, Nicolas Maury, and Philippe Katerine, among others.
