Adam Beyer Announces First Studio Album in 20 Years

Swedish techno pioneer Adam Beyer has announced his first studio album in two decades, Explorer Vol.1, set for release on June 13, 2025.

A defining force in techno since the mid-1990s, Beyer first made his mark with Decoded (1996), an album that laid the foundation for his signature sound—hard-hitting, precision-crafted, and deeply rhythmic. His label, Drumcode, founded in 1996, grew into one of the most influential imprints in electronic music, shaping the genre’s trajectory through a steady output of peak-time anthems and forward-thinking releases.

Now, Explorer Vol.1 signals a new chapter, drawing from Beyer’s extensive past while embracing fresh sonic directions. The album features 16 original tracks and collaborations with Coco Francavilla, Layton Giordani, Chris Avantgarde, Max Styler, Julian Jeweil, HNTR, and Kyozo.

The announcement comes just ahead of Drumcode’s showcase at London’s Drumsheds on March 22, where Beyer will perform a rare back-to-back set with Vintage Culture—his first in the UK—alongside a lineup of Drumcode’s key artists.
