AlphaTheta unveils rekordbox 7

AlphaTheta, the parent company of Pioneer DJ, has unveiled rekordbox 7, the latest iteration of its music organization tool and performance software. This version represents a complete rebuild from the ground up, offering a host of improvements and new features.

One of the key enhancements is improved performance, with rekordbox 7 boasting a 56% reduction in CPU processing load and a 38% reduction in power consumption during startup. Additionally, the software now supports Silicon chips on Apple computers, providing enhanced compatibility.

A revamped graphical user interface (GUI) introduces a sleeker and simpler design, with icons replacing text in the tree view for quick navigation between collection, playlists, and more. The browser has been optimized for streaming services, offering improved music discovery tools and a streamlined experience akin to browsing the Beatport website.

Streaming Radar is a notable addition, analyzing your music library for characteristics like atmosphere and genre, and recommending similar tracks from streaming platforms like SoundCloud, TIDAL DJ, and Beatport Streaming. Intelligent Cue Creation allows for automatic cue point setting at consistent intervals or based on your established cue point style.

Other features include Collaborative Playlists for multi-user playlist editing, dual-player view in Export mode, and paywalled subscription tiers (Creative and Pro) unlocking additional functionality.

rekordbox 7 represents a significant step forward for the software, offering enhanced performance, streamlined workflows, and expanded streaming integration. For more information on the update and subscription options, visit the rekordbox website.

In addition to the rekordbox 7 release, AlphaTheta has recently announced new products, including the OMNIS-DUO standalone DJ device, further solidifying its position as a leader in the DJ industry.
