THE CUBE emerges as a convergence of electronic music and digital art, nestled within the 360º audiovisual realm of Casa Batlló's basement. As two prominent pillars of Barcelona's cultural scene, Casa Batlló and Sónar set out to pioneer immersive music and visual art encounters with THE CUBE.
This world-renowned audiovisual space, ensconced within the iconic confines of Gaudí's architectural marvel, unveils its inaugural spectacle on May 24th with the premiere of ”Music:Response”. This exhilarating installation boasts reimagined sounds from The Chemical Brothers, paired with the visionary visuals crafted by Smith & Lyall.
In conceiving THE CUBE, Sónar and Casa Batlló usher forth a fresh narrative for audiovisual experiences, one meticulously woven with pixels, state-of-the-art soundscapes, and the ingenuity of leading artists, creators, and engineers. It transcends mere venue status, morphing into a veritable canvas for boundless creativity, inviting participants to journey deep into the pulsating heart of music.
