Cercle announces 360° nomadic concerts, 'Cercle Odyssey'

Cercle has unveiled a groundbreaking development in live touring entertainment with the introduction of Cercle Odyssey, the world’s first nomad concert structure. This innovative concept aims to merge music, technology, and visual storytelling into a multisensory journey that transcends traditional concert experiences.

Cercle’s founder and Creative Director, Derek Barbolla, shared his vision: “My current obsession is to create the shortest connection between the music played by the artist, the video narrative that we will present live on the screens, and the audience’s emotions. I want to connect these three things at the deepest level, and I believe this is still underdeveloped in the entertainment industry. If, by the end of a Cercle Odyssey show, I see people on the dance floor literally moved to tears, then I will consider it a success.”

Cercle Odyssey redefines the concert experience by blending live music with immersive visual storytelling in a 360° projection panorama. Inspired by the myth of Ulysses, the experience is designed to evoke the profound satisfaction of returning home after a long journey.

Barbolla emphasized the unique visual approach of Cercle Odyssey, stating, “Visually, we will keep up and even transcend our very specific and unique Cercle signature. The videos will be real, human, and natural. We need this sort of humanity in the content, in a world where we sometimes feel disconnected from nature, from Earth… We are actually going the opposite way of most of the visuals we currently see in the electronic music scene. Each concert will be completely unique and will unfold like a living painting.”

Esteemed director Neels Castillon, co-founder of Motion Palace and represented by Ridley Scott Creative Group, will oversee the visual direction of Cercle Odyssey. Known for his poetic and intimate filmmaking, Castillon’s aesthetic perfectly aligns with the immersive vision of Cercle Odyssey.

Musically, Cercle Odyssey will feature a diverse lineup of artists known for their ability to create music that resonates both acoustically and visually. The specifics of the musical programming will be revealed later in the year.

Cercle’s scenography is an engineering marvel that integrates cutting-edge technology with sustainable design. The structure includes 2300 m² of giant projection screens, up to 40 feet high and 180 feet long, displaying high-quality 8K images synchronized live with the music. This approach not only enhances the visual experience but also reduces the carbon footprint by using locally sourced and rented equipment.

To foster complete immersion, Cercle Odyssey enforces a strict no-phone policy, encouraging attendees to disconnect from digital distractions and fully engage with the experience. As a keepsake, each guest will receive a folder of filmed content from the event.

Cercle, known for hosting unique musical events at iconic locations, continues to push the boundaries of live entertainment. With over 240 events worldwide, including performances at UNESCO World Heritage sites, Cercle remains at the forefront of creating and curating innovative musical experiences that blend music, aesthetics, and heritage.

Cercle Odyssey 2025 dates and locations will be announced soon. Pre-registration is available here.
